2025 Session 3 Group Exercise Schedule
The Y will provide equipment for classes with the understanding that participants will sanitize items after use.
Y Guests may attend group exercise classes on a walk-in basis. The $12.00 Y Guest pass includes the ability to participate in group exercise classes during your visit.
Group Exercise Class Descriptions
(AOA) = appropriate for Active Older Adults
Not all classes below are offered every session.
AQUA
- Aqua Fit! AOA: A complete shallow-water class combining cardio, strengthening using water weights, and full-body stretching.
- Aqua Zumba AOA: Pool party anyone? An invigorating shallow water workout with a bit of splashing, stretching, and dancing!
- Gentle Water AOA: A shallow-water workout for those with arthritis or other joint issues, just starting to exercise, or looking for a gentler workout. We use low-impact movements and gentle stretching. Water weights and noodles are used for strengthening.
- Poula: A high-energy cardio and easy-to-follow choreography to the pool, using the water’s resistance to challenge your body while keeping the movements fun and accessible. Set to an upbeat pop soundtrack, each class empowers you to process emotions through music, movement, and a supportive community connection.
CARDIO
- Combo Boot Camp: Cardio, Bootcamp, step, HIIT. A full body workout focusing on strength, endurance, and core using weights. Incorporates step risers and various callisthenic exercises.
- Cycling: A variety of engaging interval, strength, and endurance rides: that incorporate hill climbs, standing flats/climbs, intervals, jumps, and sprints.
- High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT): Work out at your intensity! This class features a one-minute on, one minute off approach to cardio using bodyweight exercises, weights, and other equipment. For all levels.
- RUMBLE: Martial arts-inspired. Punch, kick, etc. to music for a fun and effective full-body workout. "Rumble stick" is used to simulate moves from martial arts weapons for an added element of training. No experience needed!
- Step it Up!: Get your cardio groove on ... don't fear the step! This is a classic, fun workout with options for basic or more advanced moves.
- Strong Nation: Body weight, muscle conditioning, cardio, kickboxing, and plyometric training moves synced to original music. Every squat, lunge, and burpee is music-driven to help you make it to the last rep or maybe even five more! Mat recommended.
DANCE
- Bust a Move!: Burn calories in a positive, motivational way, while boosting your brain — enhance your memory and recall.
- Oula: High-energy, easy-to-learn, crazy-fun dance workout to Top 40 hits. Classes are one epic hour of sweat, joy, and total inspiration! Oula is Dancemania for the soul.
- Oula Power: Challenging and rewarding combination of cardio, dance, and strength training.
- Y Dance: Low-Impact dances choreographed by the instructor that uses a wide variety of music. Easy to learn!
- Zumba: Burn calories by burning up the dance floor. Zumba uses hypnotic Latin and International rhythms to maximize cardio output. No dance prior experience is required!
- Zumba Gold AOA: Modified low-impact movements. Grove at your own pace!
- Zumba Toning: Bodysculpting techniques and Zumba moves all in one class!
STRENGTH & CONDITIONING
- AMPD: Combines kettlebell, weighted bar, and resistance band movements with great music to create a fun high-energy workout.
- Building Strength AOA: For those who are just starting out and active older adults. Focuses on strength, toning, balance, and flexibility.
- Core & More: Build endurance and strengthen that core with a variety of equipment you may not have at home. Prepare to get motivated, and build muscles! All levels are welcome.
- Core Strength/Pilates: Focuses on core strength and breathing to improve flexibility, strengthen, and develop control of the entire body. All levels are welcome!
MIND & BODY
- SpinYasa: 45 minutes of cycling to pump you up followed by 45 minutes of Vinyasa yoga to bring you to a deep state of relaxation. Designed as a 2-in-1 experience but is also open to participants who want to do one half or the other.
- Vinyasa Yoga: More vigorous flow focusing on linking yoga poses. Meditation with asanas. Build body and mind by strengthening and stretching.
- Restorative Yoga: Relaxed and meditative yoga using props.
- Yoga: Offers various yoga techniques and postures to promote gentle stretching, strengthening, and relaxation. For all skill levels!
- Yoga HIIT (60min): Explores powerful body movement, paired with intervals of yoga poses to bring balanced strength and restoration.
- Yoga Sculpt (50min): power yoga and strength training, using hand weights, to create a full-body, high-intensity workout.
Health Interventions
- Personal Training: Get motivated and meet your health goals with a one-on-one Y trainer! Services include post-physical therapy strengthening, health coaching, joint replacement preparation, Personal Yoga/Pilates, and more.
