There are many areas where the YMCA benefits from member volunteers and community volunteers. Some of these areas are listed below. If you have a desire to volunteer in any of the areas below, either inquire at the Ithaca YMCA front desk or call us at (607) 257-0101.

Sports

• Referees or scorekeepers for basketball leagues and tournaments
• Youth sports coaches

Aquatics

• Lifeguards (certified)
• Instructor Assistants and Instructors
• Maintenance - basic pool cleaning/repairs
• Water Exercise Instructor - training provided

Childcare

• Any of 3 sites : On-site Ithaca, Groton Elementary, Cassavant School (McLean)
• Assist in child development and fun
• Prepare food
• Do projects
