School age child
care (SACC) is a major way the YMCA can act on its commitment to
families. As a core program for now and in the future, our School's
Out Program, both before- and after-school, offers
a safe, supportive, and stimulating environment for all participants.
The YMCA has developed this quality program offering creativity,
adaptability, and imagination to respond to the needs of today's
families, right in your home school.
We will always
strive to deliver our program in a positive YMCA environment of
safety, support, and care. The YMCA has staffed this program with
qualified educators who are able to supply quality care at a reasonable
cost. Activities include arts & crafts, sports, games, puzzles,
outdoor play, reading, homework time, community service, health,
and wellness.
Snacks are also provided on a daily basis.
Program Goals:
- To help children
develop to their fullest potential
- To increase
ability to work and play together
- To improve
self-worth, self-awareness, and self-confidence
- To improve
academic achievement, physical skills, health, nutrition, and
creative awareness
- To provide
a safe, fun, supervised environment for children of working parents
