School age child care (SACC) is a major way the YMCA can act on its commitment to families. As a core program for now and in the future, our School's Out Program, both before- and after-school, offers a safe, supportive, and stimulating environment for all participants. The YMCA has developed this quality program offering creativity, adaptability, and imagination to respond to the needs of today's families, right in your home school.

We will always strive to deliver our program in a positive YMCA environment of safety, support, and care. The YMCA has staffed this program with qualified educators who are able to supply quality care at a reasonable cost. Activities include arts & crafts, sports, games, puzzles, outdoor play, reading, homework time, community service, health, and wellness.   Snacks are also provided on a daily basis.

  • To improve self-worth, self-awareness, and self-confidence
  • To improve academic achievement, physical skills, health, nutrition, and creative awareness
  • To provide a safe, fun, supervised environment for children of working parents

2009 School's Out Rates - Groton and Cassavant Programs*

5 days/week     .....     $175/month**

4 days/week     .....     $155/month

3 days/week     .....     $135/month

2 days/week     .....     $110/month

 

**For families with additional children, there is a $10.00 discount per additional child.


*The registration fee for new School's Out participants is $30.  Participants from the previous school year will have this fee waived. An annual Youth Membership of $85 is optional for School's Out off-site participants.  Some of the many many benefits of YMCA membership are listed below:

  • discounted prices on full-day School's Out programs during school vacations

  • free swim times at the YMCA

  • free racquetball court, gymnasium, and youth area usage

  • discounted program rates

  • reduced rates on youth programs including Camp Adventure and Stay & Play.

We also offer before-school care at our off-site locations, for a fee of $95.00/month. This is a flat fee, regardless of how many days per week the program is attended.
