A Typical Day at School's Out
From the moment the buses arrive, YMCA School’s Out Program
counselors strive to deliver an afternoon packed full of creativity,
imagination, academic achievement, physical skills, and character
development. Participants are given an opportunity to release some
energy upon their arrival in the Stay & Play structure. After
everyone has arrived, a nutritious and delicious snack is prepared
for all to enjoy. Our commitment to education and learning will be
supported through a 30-minute homework session. During this quiet
time, kids are encouraged to complete homework or read quietly with
the guidance of great staff. Our goal is to help children develop
to their fullest potential by increasing their ability to work and
play together and promote physical skills while boosting
self-confidence. The kids play a variety of games ranging from
soccer to relay games and tag. Everyone enjoys getting out the
parachute and rolling around the gymnasium racing scooters. Check
out what we have to offer at School’s Out – you won’t be
disappointed!
