Group Fitness & Senior Dollar Days
We offer a variety of group fitness class options at the YMCA of Ithaca and Tompkins County, with an assortment of certified and talented Y instructors. We offer Cardio Dance Classes (featuring our latest addition of Zumba®, Zumba® Toning & ZumbAtomic® designed for kids), Strength and toning classes, Water Exercise, Yoga, Pilates, Tai Chi and Cycling. The emphasis in each class is good form and fun! The YMCA instructors are conscientious about offering modification in each class to meet the needs of the participants.
Currently there are 55 classes on the schedule that are included with your YMCA membership.

Here are some rules to follow while participating in group fitness classes at the YMCA:
Wear proper and clean footwear for all classes (leave the dirt outside!)- Be on time for classes, if you leave early exit quietly
- We recommend that you bring your own mat for Yoga and Pilates classes
- Put equipment back neatly after using
- Workout at your own level - let the instructor know if you have any physical concerns prior to the start of class
- Absolutely no glass containers in the studios
- HAVE FUN and SWEAT LOTS!
Senior Dollar Days
The YMCA of Ithaca and Tompkins County offer Senior Dollar Day at the Y on Thursdays between 8:00am and 3:00pm.
If you are 60 or older for $1.00 we invite you to visit the YMCA and partake in any or all of the following activities:
8:30am Simply Stretch Class
9:05am Cardio Dance Class
9:15am Tethered Water Class
10:00am Gentle Water Class
10:15am Building Strength Class
