To help maintain the safety of everyone in the pool and to keep the pool area as clean and enjoyable as possible, please obey the following rules for our facility's pool.

  • Please abide by lifeguard instructions.
  • All swimmers must shower before swimming – bathing caps are recommended.
  • No shoes / boots / sneakers allowed in pool area.
  • Please remove band-aids before entering water.
  • No diapers (except swim diapers), cut-off shorts, or glass masks in the pool.
  • Swim diapers are required for children who are not potty trained.
  • Front dives allowed only off the west wall (8-foot area).
  • Spectators permitted in seating areas only.
  • No running or rough play allowed.
  • Food, drink, candy, and glass prohibited in pool area and locker rooms.
  • No playing on ladders.
  • Please stay off blocks and lane lines (diving blocks are for swim team and instructional purposes only).
  • Inflatable floatation devices are prohibited. 
  • Children who wish to use floatation in the large pool must either have passed the swim test* or have an adult actively involved with them in the water.
  • Lap swimmers must circle swim when more than two swimmers are in a lane.
  • Long or dangling jewelry is prohibited.
  • Breath-holding games are prohibited.
  • Use pool equipment as intended.
  • For children ages 9 or under, parents must swim with children who cannot touch and have not passed the swim test.  If the child has passed the swim test or can touch, the parent must remain in the pool area while child is swimming.
  • For children ages 10-12, parents must remain in the building.

Swim test consists of swimming half the length of the large pool, treading water for 30 seconds, and continuing to swim the remaining distance of the large pool without rest.
